Welcome to LOCO
Facebook Posts
Listen…we just thought last Sunday was busy. Blew that out of the water tonight with the largest crowd we’ve ever had for our final Christmas run this year. We can’t thank you guys enough. If you didn’t know, none of the LOCO Trains staff you see at these events gets paid… not the ticket sales, engineers, conductors, line management, inside staff with the cookies and hot coco. We are all just volunteers who give our time to help these events be successful. If you operate any kind of ride, you must get inspected. We have multiple engines that get inspected to give passengers rides. We also have to pay insurance. If not for these events, we wouldn’t be able to offer rides to the public. We would have to only do that for our club members. Everything we earn all year long at birthday parties, filed trips, and these Christmas runs goes back into paying for these things along with buying new rail to replace old sections, ballast, gas and batteries for our engines, etc. We do this all to keep being able to operate for the public. YOU are what makes this possible. Thanks for showing up and helping us keep our doors open.
Tonight is your last chance to come out to the track for one of our Christmas public runs. It is from 5:30-7:30. $5 per person and we accept cash or card. Just pay when you come. Grab a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus (my adorable new nephew showcased here), have some hot coco and cookies, and ride trains with us!
Holy smokes you guys…we’ve had some really good crowds, but tonight probably set a record for the largest crowd we’ve ever had. Here are some shots captured of folks riding the trains, meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, and enjoying hot chocolate and cookies. Also, just look at those lines of people signing in and then waiting to ride. If you haven’t been out yet, there is one more chance on December 13th. That will be our last Christmas run for 2024. Hope to see you!
Join us today for our third Christmas run 5:30-7:30. $5 per person cash or card.
We had a great second night at our Christmas run. Just a tad cooler tonight versus yesterday. But we still had fun riding trains, visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and enjoying hot cocoa and cookies. We have two more Christmas runs on December 8th and December 13th. We hope you can join us for one.
